IIT guwahati’s Alcheringa 2025 to begin on January 30

Alcheringa, India’s biggest cultural festival, is here with its 29th edition to be held at it Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati from January 30 to February 2, 2025. And this year’s theme, “Arcade Core,” is such a fun spectacle evokes both the old school renights of retro gaming and the eclectic, multicultural influences of contemporary India. The festival has become an annual rite of art, creativity, and innovation, attracting participants from all over the nation.

An Overture in the Classical Style: “Saaz”

The festival will open with an attractive performance called “Saaz.” Boasting virtuoso classical flute player, Rakesh Chaurasia, this opening act lays the harmonious foundations for a seamless transition between tradition and modernity. Chaurasia’s enchanting interpretations will take listeners to a space of sublime beauty, which will stand in stark contrast to the animated and lively motif of the festival.

A Spectrum of Competitions

Complete with music, dance and an immersive Bollywood experience, it promises to be music and film lovers’ night not to be missed.

EDM Night “Blitzkrieg” (February 2): The festival finishes off with a bang on EDM Night, fittingly titled “Blitzkrieg.” Expect an exhilarating electronic dance music experience with world-class DJs and entertainers, filling the atmosphere with high-spirited fun. The visuals and stage designs will all have a retro gaming theme, ensuring an experience like no other for everyone in attendance.

Guerilla Campaigns & Immersive Experiences
