About the Post
The Government of Assam, led by Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has launched the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan (CMAAA) 2.0, a flagship initiative to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment among the youth of Assam. This scheme provides financial assistance, training, and support to help individuals establish and expand their businesses.
A total of 2 lakh beneficiaries will be supported under this scheme over two years (1 lakh in FY 2023-24 and 1 lakh in FY 2024-25). The online application for CMAAA 2.0 starts on 1st February 2025.

Financial Assistance Details
The financial aid under the Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme is structured as follows:

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Atmanirbhar Assam Scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
General Requirements:
- Must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Age must be between 28 to 45 years as of 01/04/2024.
- Should not be a beneficiary of CMAAA 1.0.
- Must possess professional skills, experience, and knowledge relevant to their business venture.
- Should not have defaulted on any bank loans from scheduled commercial banks.
- Only one member per family (including husband, wife, brother, and sister) is eligible.
- Must be registered with the Employment Exchange of Assam.
- Must have a scheduled commercial bank account opened before 01/04/2024.

How to Apply?
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official CMAAA 2.0 portal. The process consists of two stages: Registration and Application Submission.
Steps to Apply Online:
- Scroll down to the Important Web-Links section.
- Click on “Online Registration Form” – a new webpage will open.
- Register yourself using your basic details.
- Log in again and complete your application by filling in your personal and educational details.
- Upload necessary documents (listed below).
- Pay the registration fee as per your category.
- Submit the form and download the acknowledgement receipt.
Note: Applicants who registered for CMAAA 1.0 but did not receive benefits do not need to register again. They can log in using their previous credentials.
