Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
- Advocate: Enrolled under the Advocate’s Act, 1961, with at least 3 years of practice.
Or - Judicial Officer: At least 3 years standing as a judicial officer.
Or - Chief Language Officer (Legislative Department): Holding a Degree in Law and having 3 years of experience in the role or 2 years of experience if the candidate has previously practiced as an advocate for 3 years.
Or - Language Officer (Legislative Department): Holding a Degree in Law and having 5 years of experience or 2 years of experience as a Language Officer if the candidate has previously practiced as an advocate for 4 years.

- Proof of Residency: Candidates must provide a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
- State Government Employees of Assam: No domicile proof is required, but they must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer or proof that the NOC application is in process.
Small Family Norms
Candidates must submit a declaration regarding compliance with “The Small Family Norms” in Form-A while applying for the post.
