Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must possess:
- A regular full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution in India or abroad,
OR - An AMIE (India) qualification in Civil Engineering (both Part A & Part B) provided the candidate had enrolled for AMIE on or before 31/05/2013.
- A regular full-time B.E./B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institution in India or abroad,
- Note:
- Distance education degrees will not be accepted.
- Candidates must upload all semester/year-wise mark sheets and the final pass certificate during the application process.
Nationality
- The candidate must be a citizen of India as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Domicile
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Documents Required
- Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) for educational purposes,
or - Employment Exchange Registration Certificate from any Employment Exchange in Assam.

Selection Process
- Selection procedure will be notified later via corrigendum/addendum.
- APSC may conduct zone-wise exam/test based on number of candidates.
Documents To Be Produced at Interview
- HSLC/HS Admit Card for DOB proof.
- All marksheets & certificates from HSLC onwards.
- Degree/Provisional Certificate.
- Caste/BPL/PRC/NOC (as applicable).
- Form-A (Small Family Norms Declaration).
- PwBD/Ex-Servicemen Certificate (if applicable).
Important Instructions
- Only the higher “Application Number” will be accepted if multiple forms are submitted.
- Category/sub-category once declared cannot be changed later.
- Candidates must be physically fit and ready for medical verification.
- Furnishing false info leads to rejection and legal action.
- Final selection will be published on APSC website/newspapers.

Is there any physical standard test for this post?
No, but candidates must ensure they are in good health for medical examination if selected.
Can I change my category (SC/ST/OBC etc.) after applying?
No. Once the category is declared in the application, it cannot be changed.
Will the Commission pay my travel expenses for the interview?
No. Candidates must bear their own expenses.
Can I apply if I’m already working in Govt. service?
Yes, but you must upload a certificate from your authority and a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Can I apply offline?
No. Only online applications are accepted.
What if I mistakenly submit the wrong documents?
Ensure accuracy before final submission. No changes can be made afterward.
What if I apply multiple times?
Only the application with the higher number will be considered if complete in all respects.
Is distance learning B.Tech in Civil valid?
No. Distance mode Civil Engineering degrees are not accepted.
What if I fail to make payment?
Use the “Validate Payment” button to check. Double debits will be auto-refunded within 5–7 working days.
Will there be a written exam or interview only?
The selection process (exam/interview) will be announced later by APSC.
