About SAMARTH Admission Portal

To streamline and digitize the undergraduate admission process in Assam, the Government of Assam has launched the SAMARTH Admission Portal—a unified, one-stop platform for admissions into Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes and Five-Year Integrated Master’s Programmes.

The initiative is a part of the “Samarth” project, undertaken by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and developed under the National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT-III). It provides a cloud-based ERP solution to enhance administrative efficiency and transparency in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Detailed Application Process

Phase 1: Profile Registration (From 11/04/2025 @ 4 PM)

1. Visit the official portal
2. Click on “New Registration”
3. Fill in:
   • Full Name (as in Class X marksheet)
   • DOB, Mobile No., Email, Password
   • Captcha → Click Register
4. Enter OTPs received on both Email & Mobile.
5. Your registration is now complete.

Phase 2: Programme & College Selection (Post Class 12 Results)

• Select University, College, Programme, and Subjects.
• Admission will be merit-based.
• Applicants can choose up to 10 colleges of their preference.

Required Documents for Upload

Students must upload the following documents in specified format (JPEG/JPG, size 10–500 KB):

• Passport Size Photo
• Signature
• HSLC Registration Certificate, Admit Card, Marksheet, Pass Certificate
• HS Registration Certificate, Marksheet, Pass Certificate
• Bank Passbook
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Disability Certificate (if applicable)
• TGL or Ex-TGL Certificate (if applicable)

Assam Government Fee Waiver Scheme

Eligible students can apply for tuition fee waiver under the Assam Government Fee Waiver Scheme through the SAMARTH portal. This is applicable for admissions into 1st Year of H.S./B.A./B.Sc./B.Com/M.A./M.Sc./M.Com.

Note: Fee waivers are only available to students applying via the SAMARTH Admission Portal.
