Validity of CTET Certificate
The CTET Qualifying Certificate is valid for a lifetime for all categories. There are no restrictions on the number of attempts a person can take to acquire the CTET certificate. Candidates can appear multiple times to improve their score.
Eligibility Criteria for CTET July 2024
Primary Stage (Class I to V)
Candidates must have completed one of the following:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE 2002 norms).
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with 50% marks and completed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed (Bachelor Degree in Education).
Secondary Stage (Class VI to VIII)
Candidates must have completed one of the following:
- Bachelor Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (according to NCTE norms).
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A./B.Sc. Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed..
- Graduation with 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education).
