- Age: 18-35 years
- Educational Qualification: Class VIII pass
- Physical fitness for handloom weaving
Documents Required for the Artisan Course at HTC in Assam
- The Department of Handloom & Textiles is running 102 Handloom Training Centers throughout the State, particularly in rural areas to impart training for creating artisans and upgrading skills on handloom weaving designing and dyeing etc. The course duration of these centers is one year with intake capacity of 15 to 20 trainees per Training Centre per session.
- The Directorate of Handloom and Textiles issues Admission notice for one year Artisan Course in Handloom Training Centres (HTC), There when the portal is opened to receive applications from applicants. Application must be submitted before the last date of submission application as specified in the notice.
- 1. The details of the applicant must be filled and supporting documents must be uploaded.
- 2. The applicants shall have to appear before the selection committee on a date notified by the concerned HTC.
Application Process
For First-Time Users
- Click the “Register” tab in the top right corner of the page.
- Fill in the necessary fields: Full Name, Mobile No., Email id (optional), State, and Password.
- Click the “Login” tab and log in with your credentials.
For Registered Users
- Click the “Apply Online” tab.
- Select the service you want to apply for (Admission to Artisan Course at HTC).
- Click the “Apply” button after reviewing the requirements.
- Fill out the application form.
- Upload the required supporting documents.
- Submit the form successfully.
Post-Submission Process:
- An acknowledgement will be generated with an application reference number.
- The application will be forwarded to higher officials for processing.
- You will receive notifications via SMS and Email.
- Track your application status by clicking the “Track” button and entering your application reference number.
- Make corrections or reapply if discrepancies are found.
- Receive notification of assigned physical inspection date via SMS and Email.
- Pay the requisite animal tax and application fee after successful inspection.
- Download your Application for admission to the Course at Handloom Training Institute (HTI) from the ARTPS portal.
