ISRO’s PSLV-C59 Mission Successfully Deploys European Sun-Observing Satellites

This mission deployed the European Space Agency’s (ESA) advanced Sun-observing Proba-3 mission into space. Developed in collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) and IIT-Delhi’s Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), ‘Anna Chakra’ is a cutting-edge tool designed to optimize the Public Distribution System (PDS) supply chain using advanced algorithms to streamline logistics and ensure the efficient movement of food grains across the nation. This innovation aims to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and guarantee timely delivery of essential commodities.

Meanwhile, the SCAN portal provides a streamlined, single-window system for states to submit, scrutinize, and approve subsidy claims under the National Food Security Act (NFSA). This initiative is set to simplify the subsidy claim process, expedite the release of food subsidies, and ensure transparency and accountability in the system.
