Validity of CTET Certificate
- Lifetime Validity: The CTET qualifying certificate is now valid for a lifetime.
- Unlimited Attempts: There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate may take for acquiring the CTET certificate. A candidate who has qualified may also appear again for improving their score.
Eligibility Details (CTET January 2024)
Primary Stage (Class I to V)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks as per NCTE 2002 Norms and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Graduation degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or with 50% marks and B.Ed.
Secondary Stage (Class VI to VIII)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and passed or appearing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Graduation with 50% marks and Special Education B.Ed or any equivalent qualification.
