Eligibility Criteria

(a) Educational/Technical Qualifications

Qualification	Details
Minimum Qualification	Candidate must have passed 10th Class (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognized board.
Technical Qualification	ITI Diploma in a relevant engineering trade or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Apprenticeship	Must have completed an Apprenticeship in the relevant trade.

(b) Medical Fitness & Vision Standards

Medical Fitness	Candidates must be medically fit as per Railway medical standards.
Vision Standards	Distant Vision: 6/6, Near Vision: 0.6/0.6, No color blindness.

Examination Process

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT-1)

• The first stage of the examination will consist of multiple-choice questions. The test will cover general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic, and technical subjects.
• Negative marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Computer-Based Test (CBT-2)

• Candidates who clear CBT-1 will be called for CBT-2. The second stage will be more specific to technical subjects.

3. Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)

• This test is mandatory for candidates applying for the ALP position.
• No negative marking will apply in this stage.

4. Document Verification

• Shortlisted candidates after CBT-2 and CBAT will be called for document verification.
• Candidates must bring original documents and certificates.
