Recruitment Process

  1. Stages:

    Ex-Servicemen Eligibility & Reservation Guidelines

    Eligible Ranks

    • Sepoy/Lance Naik or equivalent ranks are eligible.
    • Higher ranks (e.g., Subedar, Naib-Subedar, etc.) may apply only if they submit written consent stating they will not claim benefits of their previous rank for higher post entitlement.

    Important Note

    • Ex-servicemen already employed in civil roles through the ex-servicemen quota are not eligible for further reservation or fee exemption.
    • However, they may apply under the Unreserved (UR) category.

    Eligibility Criteria

    An ex-serviceman is a person who:

    • Has been released from military service after completing the specified engagement term (not on personal request or due to misconduct/inefficiency).
    • Has received a gratuity.

    • Territorial Army personnel drawing a pension for continuous/qualifying service.
    • Army Postal Service personnel who:
      • Were part of the Regular Army and retired with a pension, or
