Mode of Selection
The selection process consists of the following stages:
Screening:
- Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted by the Screening Committee.
Written Examination & Typing Test:
- Candidates will be invited for an open competitive written examination and a typing test on a computer.
- The typing test will be qualifying in nature.
- Only candidates who qualify in the typing test will be included in the final merit list.

- The written test consists of two papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Tie-Breaking Criteria
In the event of a tie in the final merit list, the following criteria will be applied in order of preference:
- Lesser Negative Marks: Candidates with fewer negative marks in the applicable examination papers will be ranked higher.
- Date of Birth: If the tie persists, the older candidate (as per the date of birth) will be given preference.
- Earlier Acquisition of Essential Qualification: Candidates who obtained the essential qualification earlier will be ranked higher.
- Alphabetical Order of First Name: If the tie still remains, candidates will be arranged in alphabetical order based on their first names.
