Eligibility Criteria for AEGCL Recruitment
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam.
- Proof of Residency: Candidates must produce a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate as proof of residency.
- Local Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in Assamese or another local language of Assam.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years (as on January 1, 2024)
Age Relaxation:
- SC/STP/STH: 5 years
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university with:
- Minimum 55% marks in aggregate, or
- 55% in Honors/Major subject (for B.Com graduates), or
- Minimum 55% marks in Mathematics or Statistics (for Arts or Science graduates). For SC/ST and Departmental Candidates: Minimum qualification marks are relaxed to 50% in the Bachelor’s degree.
Computer Proficiency
- Candidates must possess proficiency in computer applications, along with a diploma certificate in computer applications with a minimum duration of three months.
Employment Exchange Registration
- Candidates must be registered with any of the employment exchanges in Assam.
Small Family Norms
- Candidates are required to submit a declaration regarding adherence to the Small Family Norms in Form-A at the time of application.
