Gujarat’s exquisite traditional textile, Gharchola, has been honored with the Geographical Indication (GI) tag by the Union government. This prestigious recognition was conferred during the event “GI and Beyond, Virasat Se Vikas Tak” in New Delhi. With this accolade, Gujarat now proudly boasts 27 GI-certified items, of which 23 are in the handicraft sector. The Gharchola, cherished for its intricate designs and vibrant colors, is traditionally worn during Hindu and Jain wedding ceremonies. Introducing ‘Uber Shikara’: Modernizing Transport on Dal Lake
In a landmark development, Uber has launched Asia’s first water transport service, Uber Shikara, on the picturesque Dal Lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Harimau Shakti 2024: Strengthening India-Malaysia Military Ties
The 4th edition of the India-Malaysia Joint Military Exercise, HARIMAU SHAKTI, kicked off on December 2, 2024, at Bentong Camp in Pahang district, Malaysia. Running until December 15, 2024, this exercise aims to enhance the joint military capabilities of both nations to undertake counter-insurgency operations in jungle terrain.
