SWAYATT: Celebrating 6 Years of Empowering Digital Procurement

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) celebrated the sixth anniversary of the Startups, Women & Youth Advantage through e-Transactions (SWAYATT) initiative. Launched on February 19, 2019, SWAYATT enhances participation of women-led enterprises, startups, and youth in public procurement. Focusing on social inclusion and ease of business, SWAYATT has significantly boosted the number of women entrepreneurs and startups on the GeM platform, fulfilling orders worth thousands of crores. Recent celebrations included partnering with FICCI Ladies Organisation to further empower women entrepreneurs.

This innovative fund aims to mobilize new funding streams for biodiversity by leveraging private sector contributions through Digital Sequence Information (DSI). Notably, at least 50% of the fund’s resources will go to indigenous peoples and local communities, recognizing their crucial role in biodiversity stewardship. The Cali Fund will support the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati. Bathouism, the traditional religion of the Bodo community, revolves around the worship of Bathoubwrai, the supreme deity believed to govern the universe. This recognition marks a significant step towards preserving the nature-based faiths of the Bodo community and underscores the revival of Bodo culture. The inclusion of Bathouism in official documentation demonstrates a commitment to preserving indigenous faiths and cultural identity.
