About the Scholarship
The Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme is a special initiative by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to promote higher education among students from the North Eastern Region (NER) of India. It aims to financially assist students from economically weaker sections pursuing undergraduate courses in general, technical, and professional streams, including medical and paramedical courses.

Eligibility Criteria

| Family Income Limit | Annual parental income should not exceed ₹4.5 lakh. |
| Domicile Requirement | Valid domicile certificate of any NER state. |
| Exclusions | Students pursuing courses through open/distance/private mode, those already availing other scholarships, and those admitted through management quota. |

How to Apply for Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme 2024?

- OTR provides a unique 14-digit ID based on Aadhaar or Enrollment ID, valid throughout the student’s academic career.
